Sprout Kitchens took out the Judges award at last weeks Farm2Fork Summit on Cockatoo Island, fending off 7 other pitches and a room full of 1200+ Food and Ag tech enthusiasts.
With just 5 minutes to pitch and a short QnA the judges adjourned to make a decision, the King and Queen of Netherlands who were on a tour of Australia to mark the 400th anniversary of the Dutch landing of Dirk Hartog, took to the stage to present Sprout co-founders James Jordan and Caroline Lepron with the judges award.
With strong feedback from the judging panel the Sprout team has won 6 months of mentoring from top Sydney firm Mccarthy. It was a surprise win for Sprout co-founder James Jordan; “the event was mostly Ag tech so I thought Sprout would be too consumer focused but I think our strong pitch, simple slides and big idea was what got us over the line”
Sprout Kitchens didn’t waste any time soaking up the spotlight, they were back at the FoodBytes Garden shortly after meeting and pitching some more!
